I couldn't resist this amazing priny by Ashely G. I already own another one (see multiple posts ago) and this one just happened to go up in her shop, I love it! I would really like it if she came out with a gift card set, could be really amazing....
I am taking this friday off, my first personal day and I am very excited! I can drink coffee in the morning, visit thrift stores, and go out in the evening to listen to one of my new favorite bands" Vic Thrill. The day already sounds perfect, hopefully it will live up to the expectations.
This afternoon I watched The Conversation with Gene Hackman. It was a movie I had been meaning to see for a long time. It is by Francis Ford Coppola and it is a classic 70's movie that was nominated for Best Picture. It was slow moving, but I was honestly expecting those so I made a bunch of envelopes while watching the movie. I thought it was a great character study and there was pre-Star Wars Harrison Ford in it. The main plot is about a wire-tapper (Gene Hackman) who bugs a conversation and the events that follow regarding a suspected murder. The sub-plot is actually more important, which is basically the unraveling of Hackman's character and his conflict between himself and his job.
I feel like a lot of movies made in the golden era of the 70s were less about plot and more about the relationship between the actor and director. I mean don't get me wrong the scripts were pretty good, but if it wasn't for superior acting the movies would be second rate.
