Erin has had a big influence on my life since we met so I thought it was very appropriate for me to interview her and get her apart of the series. Thank you!

Why do you create what you do?
I think it's almost sort of a reflex. Like blinking. It's second nature. If I didn't create, well... I don't know what would happen, I suppose. I think creating is second nature to everyone, really. We're all creative in different ways, and it hits us differently.
Wow. This is making ZERO sense.
Who is the number one person you hope to collaborate with?
Oh dear. I think I'd have to choose Miranda July. Her performance art is spectacular in that very necessary way. I look at her work as a necessity, not a luxury, which says a lot about the truth in her pieces.
What is the next step for your businesses?
Hmm... well. Let's see. DesignForMankind.com's video series 'DIALOGUE' is taking off like a rocketship! And MankindMag.com will be available in print [again!] in early 2010. We're working on bigger and better content all the time; I have such a fantastic team of talented individuals! Can't wait to reveal the new surprises for next year, including a spot on a few newsstands!

Currently reading/ watching anything?
Always. I'm reading the new issue of IdN at the moment [it normally takes me days to let all of the info sink in!] and Love is a Mix Tape. As far as watching goes, I'm not much of a TV gal [although I wish I were!], but I love indulging in Friday Night Lights. It reminds me so much of my small Indiana hometown!
Do you dream often and what are your recurring themes?
I neeeever remember my dreams. I read somewhere that this means something, but I've absolutely forgotten...
What do you think you sacrifice to follow your creative passions if any?
Definitely my free time. And it's soooo worth it. When you love what you do, work time is fun time, so free time isn't as necessary.

What drives you to blog everyday?
My readers. They keep me in check daily, and I love them SO much! Other than that, I feel like I owe it to the art/design community to uncover as many talents as I can--- they're all out there... just waiting for someone to love them! I tend to love most things, so it works well...
What is your next big step?
I tend to take things day by day [if I don't, I get mighty overwhelmed!], so as far as longterm goals, I have nooo idea. I'd love to see both the site and magazine grow steadily and it would be a dream of mine to do what I love for the rest of my life!
