What is your art background?
I don't have a classic art background; I just took painting classes when I was a kid. Then I studied Advertising at University, and soon I realized that Advertising wouldn't be my future, so I focussed in other things, such as photography and graphic design... I also think I have learned a lot working as a graphic designer during the past 8 years.
What is the next step for you as an artist?
To continue doing what I do. I also would like to organise better my activities and to start working with others in a regular basis.
If you could have superhero powers what would they be?
Easy and quick Tele-transportation would be pretty good!
Name a few of your favorite contemporary artists?
Does everybody say this is a tough question? Some of my favorites at this moment: Klas Fahlen, Hanna Konola, Cristóbal Schmal (whom I have the pleasure to know), Matte Stephens... much more...
What is your artistic Process and when do you know a piece is complete?
It depends. I'm a little chaotic. Many times I have an idea and I start working so quickly and crazily on it, then I let it stand for a few days, and when I take it up again two things can happen: either I like what I've done but it needs more attention , and I continue working on it until I'm happy, or I don't like what I've done, but now I really know what I want, so I start again, and this time is process is quite fast.
For commissioned works I try to be more organised; and I don't start working until I have a clear idea.
What else do you do beside art?
Not so much right now, I'm working too much. I used to roller skate almost daily, but not anymore... I really like doing nothing. And I also love to travel, when I can.
Currently Reading/ Watching anything?
Reading Rompepistas, by Kiko Amat, an spanish novelist, and some comics (Guy Delisle, Dupuy & Barberian and Lewis Trondheim)
Any one you are dying to collaborate with?
Dunno. There's a lot of interesting people I would like to work with.
