Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music
I've been lusting after this six-CD set for years. Ethnomusicologist Harry Smith originally assembled this collection of folk, blues, country, Cajun and "Appalachian murder ballads" from obscure 78's originally released between 1927 to 1935. The Smithsonian rereleased his monumental assemblage on its fiftieth anniversary in 2002. Want!
Pinky rings are pretty dope. I'd get my initials monogrammed on this delicate version.
"Redolent of Finnish saunas, pencils and Native American tribal ceremonies." Need I say more?
The ultimate cult kitchen item. I want to bake some mac and cheese in this baby.
I grew up shooting with my parents' Canon A1. All of the photos from my childhood were shot with this classic SLR (as well as my senior portraits and a few dreamy faux-fashion editorials at the local cemetery). Now I want one for my very own.
Nice picks!
