I have decided to join in on this Self-Portrait Tuesday movement. Here a picture taken early this morning as I was getting ready for work. I like the shadow of my hair across my neck, though the flash put an interesting shadow on my cheek.
I seem to be running around today like a crazy woman. My boss just came in and we are going over a ton of notes from the various meetings I had while she was away. I have tried to keep a precise record of everything that went on so I can answer all the questions she will not doubt ask me.
I thought as I am new to this whole experience, I would start to introduce the various aspects of my life and the places that I see everyday. This bus stop is one of them, it marks the beginning and the end of my work day. Most often it is seen with groggy sleep filled eyes. That blue newspaper dispenser wouldn't give me a paper last week so I have decided to not use it anymore. A shame because I am hungry for my crossword puzzle even if it is from a local newspaper. I have become a little bit of a snob when it comes to that, it has to be the New York Times and nothing else.
My friend Jen bought this amazing little book while she was in California visiting her brother. I immediately fell in love with the little ink drawings inside so I pulled it apart and had to frame at least one of the pictures. I like the pistol image with the ornate border on top. Although the glare of the flash kind of mares the rich black background of this picture. I have this picture leaning against some others on my desk, but I will hopefully hang it shortly. These other photos are of some of the other pages for this book that I think are fantastic. I like the ones best with the inanimate objects with the nonsensical writing underneath.
Last night I went out and played pool with my friend Claire and ended up discussing relationship crap for like 3 hours over drinks and mango smoothies. I was more on the mango smoothies than the drinks.
I plan on doing very crafty things tonight while watching Disc 3 of Northern Exposure Season 1, these include:
1. Getting packages together for Swaps
2. Making a card for my friend Nicole's Birthday, which is arriving shortly.
3. Developing the CD booklet for my Music Swap that needs to be sent out
4. Doodling (something that should be done everyday)
One Last Photo of a very important Cat who purrs at me on a daily basis
